Agent Auto Hire FAQ

Straight answers on how the AI career agent works, what it will and will not do without your approval, what it costs, and how your data is handled.

Getting started

What is Agent Auto Hire?

Agent Auto Hire is an AI career agent. It rewrites and ATS-optimizes your resume, matches you to relevant openings, generates a tailored resume and cover letter for each one, and can submit the application on your behalf after you approve it — tracking every outcome in one dashboard.

How does the free AI resume improvement work?

Create a free account with your email, upload your existing resume, and the AI rewrites your bullets, quantifies impact, and optimizes formatting and keywords for applicant tracking systems. The first rewrite is free and requires no card.

What file formats can I upload?

PDF and DOCX up to 10MB. The parser extracts your structure, so a standard single-column resume produces the cleanest results.

How long does an AI resume rewrite take?

Typically under a minute. You get a rewritten resume plus an ATS score explaining what changed and why.

Auto Apply

Will Auto Apply send applications without my approval?

No, unless you turn that on. By default every application waits for a one-tap approval so you can read the tailored resume and cover letter first. Fully automatic mode is optional and can be limited to verified roles.

How many jobs can the agent apply to each month?

It depends on your plan. Basic includes a limited monthly allowance, Pro significantly increases it, and Advanced offers the highest Auto Apply limits with priority processing.

Does the agent answer employer screening questions?

It drafts answers based on your profile and past applications, and flags anything it is unsure about for you to confirm before submission.

Is mass-applying with AI a good strategy?

Untailored mass applying is not — it damages your callback rate and irritates recruiters. Tailored volume is different: each application in Agent Auto Hire is rewritten against that specific requisition.

AI, ethics and ATS

Is it okay to use AI for job applications?

Yes. Employers overwhelmingly accept AI-assisted resumes and cover letters as long as every fact is true and you can speak to everything you submitted. The lines that matter are fabrication, live interviews, proctored assessments, and postings that explicitly forbid AI.

Can employers detect AI-written resumes?

AI detectors are unreliable on short, formulaic documents like resumes and are rarely used as a rejection filter. ATS ranking against the job description, not AI detection, is what decides screening outcomes.

Which ATS platforms do you optimize for?

All major systems including Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, iCIMS, Ashby, Taleo and SmartRecruiters.

What ATS score should I aim for?

Above 85 against the specific posting. Below 70 you are usually filtered before a human reads the resume.

Plans, billing and data

What do the plans cost?

Free is $0 and includes one AI resume improvement. Basic is $9/month, Pro is $29/month, and Advanced is $49/month with the highest Auto Apply limits, premium optimization, advanced insights and priority support.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Every plan is month-to-month and you can cancel or downgrade in one click from the billing portal.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on SOC 2-ready infrastructure, access is row-level restricted to your account, and you can delete everything at any time. We never train models on your data.

Do you sell my resume data to recruiters?

No. Your resume is used solely to operate the service for you. We do not sell or share it with third-party recruiters.
